You will find the impressive National Museum of Photography in the basement below The Black Diamond.
The Royal Library has collected an impressive array of photographic masterpieces. A careful estimate suggests a collection of more than 50.000 photos.
The collection is particularly centered on international photography from 1839 till the turn of the century as well as international 20th-century photography.
Danish photography from around 1839 and up to the present day is well represented too. The collection includes names such as Félix Nadar, Henry Fox Talbot, Roger Fenton, Julia Margaret Cameron, August Sander, and Man Ray.
